OFFICE HOURS:
Wednesday
This
list isn’t exhaustive, but here are some possible examples of requests that we
are asking parishioners to call about only during office hours:
If you need a Mass Card, Novena
Card or Memorial Card please come into the rectory during office hours
(Monday-Friday
Looking
up old records for family tree information or just want to find a death date,
grave site, baptismal record, marriage certificate, etc. call the office ahead
of time and Gloria will give you a time to come and look at the books or to
pick up a certificate that you might need. The donation suggested for a
baptismal certificate, marriage certificate or confirmation certificate is
$2.00.
Getting
married? Call one year in advance to set a date and to find out when and where
the pre-cana or engaged encounter classes are being held.
Getting
a child baptized? You’ll need a packet of information that we give out for you
to look over and we have to set a date and time. For your first child, you will
need to meet with one of our baptismal preparation couples that will help you
go over the information packet and guide you in areas of responsibilities of
getting a child baptized.
Inquiries
regarding bulletin announcements (deadline to be submitted in writing to Gloria
by Wednesday morning)
Request
for changes or information about the schedules of Lectors, Eucharistic
Ministers, Servers or Greeters
If you want to buy a cemetery plot or a crypt in the Mausoleum, call the office at 923-3941 to set up a convenient time to talk about it and to do the paper work. If you have a concern about your loved one’s grave (more grass seed needed, ground has settled, an article near it is gone, etc.) or about something else in the cemetery, Gloria or Kip can assist you during office hours.
Please
do not call to the maintenance person (Kip) or the secretary (Gloria) on
weekends. The only exception would be an emergency. A complaint is not an
emergency. An emergency could be a loss of heat in the church or school, a
broken pipe, etc. If there is a funeral, the funeral directors will contact the
secretary or Fr. Jim (to notify them).
It
is easy to take for granted people that we are familiar with and tend to be
critical when something goes wrong. I feel that Gloria and Kip give dedicated
and generous service to our parishes. If they have helped you, I would
encourage you to let them know from time to time that you appreciate what they
have done.
